Maison aux Pois Urbán Furmint 2022

The red clay and quartz-rich rhyolite soil of the Urbán vineyard keeps the roots warm, and the stone terraces carved into the hillside create small worlds of their own. Its wines are concentrated and deeply layered — a taut structure with a soft-spoken but profound flavour profile. Here, Furmint shows an elegant, rounder side of its mineral character, enriched further by the vineyard’s deep natural complexity. As the wine opens in the glass, the landscape behind it seems to unfold as well.
